Homes for Sale in the Chartwell condo neighborhood of Los Altos, CA

Why Do People Live here?

Chartwell is a beautiful luxury condo development built in 1995 and located in downtown Los Altos at 38 Third St.  This secure development (locked entry and garage) is located on 3rd Street with convenient access to downtown shops and services while being on one of the quieter streets in the area.  The condos were built to luxury standards with high ceilings on the top floor, efficient floor plans, fireplaces, and more.  Some ground floor units have small yards, some top floor units have small balconies, and overall they still present as high-quality homes.

What's the Neighborhood Like?

The condos for sale in the Chartwell complex are generally 1300 - 1700 square feet.  The entire complex was built starting in 1995 and it was considered the finest development in downtown Los Altos at the time.  There have been a few units for sale in recent months with a few getting upgrades given the current age.  Even some original owners made substantial upgrades before the units were finished.  The residents of Chartwell are diverse (young, old, locals, relocations, etc) and very friendly.  When I showed a home there I had two residents in a matter of minutes offer to help with directions to the unit for sale.  Of course, being downtown means easy walking distance to the many fine restaurants, shops, and services available.  One of the best features is being a few steps from the weekly Farmer's Market and the festivals that take place during the summer.
