Are you considering building a new home or remodeling a home in the City of Palo Alto? At various points in the process you're likely to have questions regarding the design of your project and what will be approved. If you call the city, you'll most likely get a voicemail inbox that asks you to leave a message. Would you like to get a faster answer? Then try this:
Send an email with your specific questions to:

I intentionally removed the "@" symbol so they don't get spammed. This is a great service option offered by the Planning Department of the City of Palo Alto to assist homeowners and would-be homeowners with getting answers to questions without having to drive downtown. Let's face it, sometimes we just don't have the time to drive all the way there, wait in line, and ask a question. Email is a great option!
Of course, if you have a critical question and need an in-depth response, then going to the Planning Desk is the best way to go. This email is most useful for clear questions where you need a basic response. An in-depth dialog is best had when you go there. I have found the staff there to be extremely helpful and very clear with their answers.
