Halloween Spooktacular in Downtown Los Altos October 31, 2013

The Los Altos Village Association is hosting the Halloween Spooktacular in downtown Los Altos once again this year.  Children can go around the town "trick or treating" in any store that has an orange pumpkin in their window.  Many stores participate so there's plenty of treats to go around making it a safe and fun outing before heading into the neighborhood later that night.  Remember to BRING YOUR OWN BAG to get treats!  Or you could always just eat as you go along :)

In addition to the treats, head over to State and Second Streets from 2:00-4:00PM for all kinds of spooky fun!  There will be face painting, crafts, games and more to keep the kids entertained.  If you'd truly like to make an full evening out of it, just stay downtown for dinner before heading home for tricks & treats in your neighborhood. From the times I've gone to this, it gets quite crowded and lively so plan ahead and make the most of it.  You'll have a lot of fun!

This has been a unique Los Altos event for many years and continues to pull in kids of many ages.  As with most events downtown, you'll want to

  • WHEN: Thursday October 31
  • TIME: 12:00-4:00PM
  • WHERE: Downtown Los Altos

Sounds like a fun event in Los Altos, thanks for sharing.  Wish the businesses did something like that where I grew up!

I like the idea of the merchants putting the orange pumpkin out as a sign that they are participating!

Bryan that sounds like a lot of fund for the kids and the parents having a safe place to enjoy Halloween festivities.
